Here is actual image of the gun's receiver
I"m looking for this antique firearm or any
info on it. here are the details that I have . Its a Single shot shotgun .
It has whats looks to be a nickel receiver , It looks a lot like some of the early model Iver Johnson Champion's..made early to mid 1900's.There is there is not much info on the gun itself . On the left side of the receiver its has an Owl with whats looks like a spade and a Hoe imprinted on the receiver and stamped "WIDE AWAKE" . It has a small forearm . From researching I have found that Hood firearms Co. used the wide awake trade name but it was used on handguns. I have yet to find anything where that name was used on long guns . It could have been made by Cresent Firearms Co. or Iver Johnson or Davenport Arms (Acme). Anyone ever hear of one of these shotguns ? Or better yet have one for sale? I am very interested in purchasing this gun. any information is GREATLY appreciated please email me with the link below. Thank you .
